TKI Hrastnik, d.d.
The production of the base industrial chemicals includes a chlor-alkali electrolysis plant, annually producing 18.000 tons of sodium hydroxide and 16.000 tons of chlorine gas, which is immediately processed into the products of the profit centre chlor-alkali electrolysis. We also have a phosphate production plant with a yearly capacity of 20.000 tons of STPP and 5.000 tons of other phosphates.
We are the only Slovenian producer of phosphates, the sodium hydroxide, the hydrochloric acid, hypochlorite and chlorine. Our consumer products include household cleaning products, laundry detergents and softeners, food additives and pure chemicals.
By focusing on our research and development efforts, which has allowed us to take advantage of the possibilities for further processing of our own base chemistry products, we have succeeded in developing a rich assortment of products for the general consumption. We are a flexible, customer-oriented team. Highly educated experts are at your disposal to present our products and advise on their use. We offer products of constantly high quality at competitive prices and deliver goods within reasonable delivery times.
In 2001, TKI Hrastnik, d.d. founded the subsidiary RASTKI, d.o.o. Hrastnik, a company based in Hrastnik and employing a high percentage of persons with disabilities, classified as an employer of persons with disabilities. RASTKI, d.o.o. Hrastnik performs the HR-related tasks for TKI Hrastnik, d.d., while also ensuring the tasks related to security, providing the meals during work, the cleaning of the premises and other supporting tasks.
Our production takes place in the three profit centres:
- PC PHOSPHATES:
Produces sodium, potassium, ammonium orthophosphates and polyphosphates, calcium phosphates (feed grade) and food additives. - PC CHLOR ALKALI ELECTROLYSIS:
Produces chlorine, sodium hydroxide, sodium hypochlorite, hydrochloric acid and calcium chloride. - PC GENERAL CONSUMPTION:
Produces powder and liquid detergents, household and industrial cleaning products and mineral fertilizers.
Strategic directions
By focusing on the development, investment and marketing, we aim to keep our base chemistry market leader position in Slovenia and the neighbouring countries without their own production capacity. We strive to obtain larger market shares for the retail products, building on our own brands or the products we deliver for well-known customers, as well as on mass products.
