We guarantee the quality and safety of food, feed and other products in all stages of our business process. - Focus on the customer
The quality of our products and services as demonstrated by the satisfaction of our customers is a key element of the company’s business and development. Our business success and further development depend on how successfully we can to meet the expectations in this regard. - Product requirements
Using our extensive experience, our dedication and the constant investment in research and development, we explore new possibilities for the production and processing of the base chemicals. We guarantee the high quality of our products with professionally trained employees who satisfy the customers’ requirements with their knowledge, work and efforts. We are aware of our social responsibility, which is why we ensure the safety and quality of feed, food and all other products by acting in accordance with the applicable legislation. - Environmental responsibility
Environmental management and preventing the risk of accidents form an important aspect of the company management. The environmental goals are taken into account when taking business and strategic decisions, and are enforced through the planning and implementation of the environmental programmes and the monitoring and measurement of the environmental impacts. We have defined the impact of each of our employees on product safety and quality, as well as on the environmental management, within the framework of their work and tasks. - Ethics
We advocate a high level of ethics, as only in this way we can build trust between business partners. We are proud that our company has successfully been in business for almost 160 years, thus encouraging an increased sense of belongingness, creativity and willingness to work hard also among its employees. - Caring for our employees
We place an emphasis on raising awareness of our employees, as well as on their education and training, increasingly focusing on the internal trainings. We also encourage our staff to further increase the level of their education obtained. The company’s focus on employee satisfaction is also reflected through the reward system.

ISO 9001:2015 Certificate
In the company TKI Hrastnik, d.d., we have harmonized the quality management system with the global best practices, aligning to the framework of the international standard ISO 9001, the certificate which we obtained already in 1998. We are constantly developing and upgrading the quality management system, which forms the base organisation system of our company, and treat it as a system of continuous improvements of our processes, products and services. We constantly seek to include and value the inputs of all our customers, suppliers and company employees. With a systematic approach, we strive to exceed the customers’ requirements and achieve the set business goals.
ISO 14001:2015 Certificate
In November 2020 we obtained the ISO 14001 certificate, confirming the adequacy of our environmental management system.
By obtaining the ISO 14001 certificate, we demonstrate our activities by preventing and reducing our environmental impacts, meeting all legal requirements, ensuring the rational use of raw materials and natural resources, and increasing the environmental efficiency.
The environmental policy and our environmental goals are an important aspect of the business activity at TKI Hrastnik, d.d., demonstrating our responsible attitude towards the environment.
We will continue to strive to continuously improve our performance in the field of the environment and to act on the commitment of responsible action by the chemical industry towards safe handling of chemicals throughout their entire life cycle and towards ensuring sustainable development.
ISO IQNet 50001:2018 Certificate
In the company TKI Hrastnik, d.d. we recognized the efficient use of energy as one of the key criteria in monitoring the efficiency of the organization’s operations. Saving energy, and especially optimizing energy use, means saving business costs and at the same time reducing greenhouse gas emissions, which represents our organization’s commitment to protecting the environment and raising our reputation in the public.
By obtaining the ISO 50001 international energy management standard, we committed ourselves to the systematic implementation, maintenance and improvement of the energy efficiency system.
IFS Food Certificate
The goal of the project, which is a part of the business policy of TKI Hrastnik, d.d., is to ensure safe food. Safe foods are an obligation and at the same time represent an advantage in the market. The IFS FOOD certificate vouches for the safety and quality of producers and production processes. Our company obtained it on 1st October 2018. It combines the requirements of the HACCP system according to the Codex Alimentarius and the requirements related to good business and hygiene practice.
In 2018, TKI Hrastnik, d.d. successfully applied to the call for tender on co-funding market research, international forums and certificates. In the framework of this tender, our project was funded with 3.010,37 EUR from the European Fund for Regional Development ( www.eu-skladi.si ) by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union.
HACCP system with FAMI-QS upgrade
The HACCP system with the FAMI–QS upgrade ensures safety (the hygienic integrity and compliance), quality and compliance with the regulations in the production of animal feed ingredients and their mixtures. The preventive system enables the identification, assessment and control of potential risk factors that may be present and can threaten the safety of the product in the production of feed additives, as well as taking the appropriate action.
ECOLABEL
The acquired EU environmental sign (ECOLABEL) for our cleaning products and detergents marks environmentally less harmful products that meet high the ecological standards and efficiency criteria.
